Mezcalienne • The Shrouds

Vases, table and carafe
Maison Marcoux Mexico
2018

Mezcalienne and The Shrouds are two series imagined in Mexico, born out of meeting ceramists in Oaxaca working with black clay,

Mezcalienne is a collection playing with traditional shapes to propose original assemblages. The seven sculptural vases are closed by a round piece, coming from the cut of a traditional mezcal bottle.
The Shrouds gathers two projects: Sombrero, a table defying balance and technique and Penacho, a carafe inspired by the dances of San Bartolo.
