Bancs Saint-Eustache
In the beginning, it was a story about a bench. The parish of St. Eustatius wanted to replace its chairs in very poor condition with new benches. In the past, several attempts had been made to solve this problem. They were not successful, but they allowed us to identify the precise needs: a creation corresponding to the spirit of "noble sobriety" of the magnificent monument that is the Church of Saint-Eustache, seats that could be adapted to the liturgy as well as to organ concerts, and a seat that would be suitable for the
organ concerts and a confirmed technical robustness. Following a new consultation, the jury chaired by Father Trocheris, parish priest of the Church of Saint-Eustache, unanimously decided in favor of the project of Constance Guisset, designer, and the company Houssard, a national leader in the design of wooden furniture, particularly liturgical furniture: a bench designed specifically for the place, stackable and reversible with a simple gesture, thanks to a backrest that tips.
