Winterreise

Fourth collaboration with choreographer Angelin Preljocaj, Winterreise is a mythical romantic piece of music. It evokes the arrival of the man at the twilight of his life. This feeling is embodied on stage by an almost naked scene, covered in black snow and slowly turning into a winter garden. The moments of intense melancholy are crossed by instants of joy, lights being colored little by little and glittering on the snow or radiant shines of colors. These happy memories punctuate the journey while remaining inaccessible, like a distant landscape seen from the window of a train.
